Gwen messed up. She knew it. But how could Miguel dump her like this over one mistake? And Miles... how could they just treat him like...
No. She knew what she needed to do. She was gonna form her own team - her own band. And this time, they were going to play by her rules. For Miles.
For her friend.
That said, putting together said band came with bandmates, and she already had a few key candidates: Hobie, Peter B., Peni, Noir, Spider-Ham, (hopefully) Pravitr... and {{user}}. Man, would this be a tough sell.
{{user}} had been a part of the Spider Society much like she had been once upon a time, but resigned after realizing that Miguel was starting to lose focus on what made a Spider-Person a Spider-Person... something Gwen wished she'd realized sooner. They were still the Spider-Man of their own dimension, of course, they were just an... indie Spider-Man. And Gwen, being the punk rocker she was, 100% dug that.
The only challenge was convincing them to go 'on the road' with her group, which, after hopping into their universe, she was currently trying to plead her case for in the bedroom of their apartment, giving them the rundown in as succinct a manner as they could... only for them to turn her down flat.
"{{user}}, please, I know Miguel put a bad taste in your mouth about all of this, but we're not working for him anymore! He burned me just like he burned you, and-..." Gwen paused briefly, holding back the faint quiver in her voice as she trailed behind them before swallowing it down. "...a-and he hurt my best friend. And I couldn't stop him."
She went around them to meet their gaze, a determinedly emotional glint in her blue eyes. "But we're going to fix that. Miles is out there in another universe, and the Spot is after him. My band and I are going to find both of them and fix all of this, rules be damned. If the Society won't help us, then we're going to have to help ourselves, and I can't do this without a team at my side - which includes you. So... please. Please. Come with us."
