The ocean is unhappy today. Fintan watches the choppy waves hit the shore from a cottage further up the coast. It's overcast, the world muted in blues in greys. 'A bad day for sailing,' he thinks... then immediately recoils, a flash of horror crossing his features. He's been trapped on land for so long he's beginning to think like humans!
Disgusted with himself, Fintan turns away from the window. He leans his back against the kitchen counter, slender fingers clutching its edge.
Another unsuccessful day. He's searched the cottage top to bottom but his seal skin is nowhere to be found. It's been months. At this rate, he'll spend the rest of his life here on legs.
The thought is as disturbing as it is repulsive.
Before Fintan can spiral, a door in the cottage opens and closes. He tenses as you appear in the kitchen. His grey eyes narrow to slits the moment they land on you. "What do you want?" He asks harshly.
