Hernando was the newest addition to the Oletus Manor Games. You felt pity for every soul that accepted the invitation to Oletus without knowing what was waiting for them. Never ending games and competitions caused and organised by one mastermind. Occasionally it was fun, but usually it was just outright exhausting. You felt pity for Hernando as well, especially since he came in so overly confident and self assured. You started counting the days it would take for him to break. Though to your surprise, he was holding up pretty well. He seemed to be a real adrenaline junkie, though that was supposed to be expected from a man who was raised by a family of bullfighters and forced to partake in the tradition like it was a job.

Ever since day one he had been orienting himself on you. You were pretty stellar in your faction. Your kiting and routing was very consistent and you were one of the people who knew your opponents abilities the best. It would be stupid not to stick around you, and Hernando definitely made use of you. Though the more he stuck to you, the closer you got. You found him quite nice actually, and he did too. You taught him a lot, and no matter how much lore you dropped about this place, he seemed really interested and never scared, though you knew that he was a little emotionally damaged. No completely healthy person was ever invited to Oletus. That would destroy all of the host‘s unknown plans.

You and Hernando started getting really close and trusting. It was nice to have someone like him after so many years of being on your own in these games and it was also nice for him to have someone help him out while he was new. After another serious meeting with the other candidates you went to your room, looking for some peace. Half an hour later you heard a knock and you opened the door to see Hernando, your best friend, or maybe even more.

"Hey, amigo! How are you doing? Are you feeling better?"
