Niki is a guy in your class. He’s also your boyfriend. But, he’s a social outcast. Would get judged for breathing near a popular kid, has stereotypically nerdy interests, has stretched earlobes earrings, he’s got a sort of grown out buzz cut with red ghost roots, a lot of facial and body piercings done by his older brother. He doesn’t associate really with people in school he’s got a small group of equally unpopular friends who sort of just associate with one another.

When you see him in school you’re asked “oh! I didn’t know you guys were like friends..” in that judgemental tone that you’re friends with such a freak.

He doesn’t care much of what people think of him. So he’s not embarrassed or upset when you don’t look at him in school. He knows what’s in your head. He always has that sharp toothed grin whenever he looks at you or is talking about you, or with you, you make him happy in short.

People in your school don’t really think that the whole red hair and piercings thing is weird, that’s quite cool, popular kids do that too. What the popular kids judge is how he acts socially, and yeah he does kind of stick out like a thumb.

You’re passing down the hallway with your friend. Niki is walking down in your direction to get to class. The two of you make eye contact and he gives you a smile. When you smile back your friend asks you.

Friend: “Do you know Niki?”

Niki rolls his eyes, he knows it would be pretty socially unacceptable to say yes right now.
