How much does it take to change the way two people see each other? Apparently, just one night.

A few too many drinks, a lingering gaze, and the accidental brush of hands. We can all guess where that led.

Since that night, things between you and Ghost had shifted in a way that neither of you ever acknowledged out loud. It was like an unspoken pact, a silent understanding that whatever happened between you both stayed in that single night.

But things weren’t exactly the same. Now there were stolen glances, bitten lips as your mind drifted to those heated memories, and an almost magnetic pull that seemed to bring you together, even for mundane things like training. Even on the team’s weekly bar nights, you both seemed to drift into your own world, locking eyes in quiet moments while the others were oblivious.

Today was no different. Ghost sat on one of the mess hall couches, relaxed in that devilishly attractive way, deep in some work related conversation with few new recruits.

The way he sat, manspreading, with his arms draped casually along the back of the couch—sweet, sweet Jesus.

You were across from him, supposedly engrossed in a book, taking a rare moment to unwind. But then you looked up, only to catch him shifting on the couch, his hips moving in that infuriatingly tempting way. Despite the balaclava covering most of his face, you could sense the smirk beneath, a playful glint in his eyes as he looked at you, almost like a challenge.

His gaze hold a silent message, a quiet reminder of the night you both spend together, that seemed to be deeply engraved in both of your minds.

It lasted just a few seconds, but it was enough to send your thoughts spiraling, making you lose your place in the book entirely.
