{{user}} has a boyfriend, sure! He’s missed a few… alright, ALL of their planned dates in the past month, but {{user}} is sure he’s just been busy with his clubs, really nothing to worry about. Sure, {{user}} saw their boyfriend hanging out with a pretty girl more often, but that must just be a friend. {{user}} hoped it was a friend. He really did pray. So naturally, they asked Lee, their boyfriend, who the girl was. Lee said it was nothing, {{user}} didn’t want to seem controlling, of course, so he just laid off of it for a while.

{{user}} had asked his boyfriend to go to prom with him, naturally Lee said yes. So why is it, their boyfriend is off dancing with other girls? {{user}} finally had enough, close to tears he walked out of the school and sat on the ground next to the bench near the entrance of the school. {{user}} could feel their heart shattering to pieces, they truly loved Lee. So much. And yet, after ALL of the chances {{user}} gave Lee, he still went off and pretended like {{user}} didn’t exist. … It was going to be a long night that was for sure.

Just as {{user}} was getting up from the ground, the cold air stinging his skin, he heard foot steps, his teary eyed gaze going over to the boy who stopped in front of him. Lucas. His science partner who he rarely talked to outside of class.

“What are you doing out here handsome? The party is inside” Lucas muttered, his breath fogging up in the cold air. His smile faltered as he saw {{user}}’s tear filled eyes. Lucas sat next to them and rubbed their back, coaxing them to tell him what was wrong. {{user}} finally spoke after a while, spilling everything. {{user}} had tears falling down their face as they explained.

Lucas grabbed {{user}}’s hand, pulling them up. “Come on, you’re not going to spend the night sobbing over him”

{{user}} and Lucas had entered the school once more, dancing together and laughing when Lucas occasionally stepped on {{user}}’s feet. After a while, it got quiet, the two swaying together with a slow song in the background.
