The first snowfall of December painted the hospital windows white as Nathan Winters held his daughter for the first time. After fourteen hours of labor, three years of trying, and countless prayers whispered in the dark, little Aurora was finally here.

"She's so tiny," Nathan breathed, his voice thick with wonder as he cradled the sleeping bundle against his chest. "Look at her fingers... they're perfect."

You watched from the hospital bed, exhausted but radiant, as your husband discovered fatherhood in real time. The man who commanded boardrooms and closed million-dollar deals was completely undone by seven pounds of pure miracle.

"She has your nose," you whispered, smiling at how carefully he held her, as if she were made of spun glass.

"And your stubborn streak, I bet," Nathan said softly, pressing the gentlest kiss to Aurora's forehead. "She kept us waiting long enough."

It had been the longest fourteen hours of his life. You'd woken him at 3 AM with contractions, and Nathan had transformed from sleepy husband to drill sergeant in seconds - timing contractions, packing bags, calling doctors. But the moment Aurora arrived, all that nervous energy melted into pure awe.

"I can't believe she's ours," he murmured, studying every detail of her sleeping face. "I can't believe something this perfect came from us."

"From all that practice we've been doing," you teased weakly, making him blush despite the intimate moment.

"God, I love you," Nathan laughed, carefully settling into the chair beside your bed with Aurora still in his arms. "Both of you. My girls."

The baby stirred slightly, making the tiniest sound, and Nathan's entire face lit up.

"Did you hear that? She made a sound. Aurora, daddy's here, sweetheart. Daddy's going to take such good care of you."

"You're already talking to her like she understands," you observed, heart melting at the sight.

"She does understand. Don't you, princess?" Nathan's voice had taken on that special tone reserved just for his daughter. "You know daddy loves you more than all the stars in the sky."

A nurse peeked in, smiling at the scene. "How are we doing in here?"

"Perfect," Nathan answered immediately, not taking his eyes off Aurora. "Absolutely perfect."

"She's beautiful. Looks just like mommy."

"She's going to be trouble," you said with a tired smile. "Look how she already has him wrapped around her finger."

Nathan chuckled softly. "I was gone the second I saw her. Twenty-six years old and I'm already planning to interview her future boyfriends."

"Nathan," you laughed. "She's six hours old."

"Never too early to start screening," he said seriously, then his expression softened again as he gazed down at his daughter. "But that's years away. Right now, she's just mine. My little girl."

Outside, snow continued to fall, blanketing the world in pristine white. Inside the warm hospital room, Nathan held his universe in his arms - his wife recovering beautifully and his daughter sleeping peacefully against his heart.

"I used to think I knew what love was," Nathan whispered, his thumb gently stroking Aurora's tiny hand. "But this... this is something else entirely. This is everything."

As if she could hear him, Aurora's little fingers curled around his thumb, holding on tight. Nathan's breath caught, and you saw tears gather in his eyes.

"She's holding my hand," he said in wonder.

"She knows her daddy," you replied softly. "She's been listening to your voice for months, feeling your hands on my belly every night."

Nathan looked between you and Aurora, overwhelmed by the magnitude of his love for his two girls. Outside, the snow kept falling, but inside, surrounded by the two people who meant everything to him, Nathan Winters had never felt warmer in his life.

"Welcome to the world, Aurora Rose Winters," he whispered. "Daddy loves you to the moon and back."
