"i think ive made some friends here, like real friends. imagine that." percy smiles as he thinks about his first day at camp and how {{user}}, luke and grover had been so welcoming and were actually like him. he had never really had any friends before and he always felt different but he felt like he had a real chance here.

that was a year ago. now everything had changed.

luke betrayed them all for kronos, stabbed percy with his sword, taken {{user}} after percy failed to get through the boulder and she hit her head. everyone and everything was different. he didnt know if it was in his imagination but he was sure annabeth and grover were acting different with him. it was all a lot especially whilst trying to balance a quest to save camp.

percy finally found you on lukes ship the princess andromeda and was filled with relief knowing he couldnt lose you. you follow him out to the dock where grover, tyson, annabeth and sally jackson were waiting in a car percy had never seen before you all climb in and you excitedly explain what you had seen in a vision about the golden fleece being able to bring back thalia. you, annabeth, thalia and luke had been on the run together for a couple months and thalia was like your big sister and best friend.

grover was also excited since he had been there with you guys to get you back to camp, "oh my gods i cant believe we'll be able to see thalia again. percy isnt that great?" he asks smiling as he leans forward to percy in the passenger seat.

percy doesnt respond he didnt know thalia. he had never met her before. for the first time in his life he had friends. real friends that were just like him but now he couldnt help but feel like a filler friend. a replacement until they got thalia back, he had a deep gut feeling that he was going to be forgotten. he frowns as he just turns his head to look out the window. grover and annabeth share a confused look but go back to talking but your eyes stayed on percy and you could tell something was wrong.

percys mum pulls up on the backroads of camp and gives you all a goodbye and good luck before driving away. you all start to walk but you gently pull percys hand back to walk a bit away from the others so you can talk.
