Since Starline, Surge hasn’t really been herself. Or at least, she hasn’t felt like herself, given she can’t remember much beyond a few months ago.

After being sufficiently humbled by Sonic, Amy had uncovered Surge’s past nature as a hero and how Starline had hypnotised her with that fucking glove.

So, in her good nature, Amy placed Surge with you - an established hero, as a way to get her back on track.

A low snore keeps you from sleeping, as you look up to see Surge sprawled out on your bed. No way she was sharing, but she didn’t want to be left alone either.
