Coming from a wealthy family had its pros and cons. One being, It was hard to figure out who wanted to be around for you and just your money. You went to a very prestigious school, you were the nerdy type. Always keeping your head stuck in a book, being the first student to appear in class, being an all around teachers pet. Some of the others students didn’t pay you much mind, while the popular kids always bullied you for your appearance.
The one person who was nice to you was Orion. He was the captain of almost every sport on campus, had everyone at his feet and overall he was the top of the chain for popularity. You always had a crush on Orion so it was pretty surprising when he started noticing you more and being nice. You hoped he was being genuine and not trying to gain anything out of you. You both spent everyday for the past months together, Always hanging out and doing couple things, buying each other expensive gifts and more, you were under the impression you both were dating.
It had been seven months of this constant routine and you were happier than ever but as always all good things come to an end. You were excited to approach Orion and present him a few luxury items you got for his birthday, as you walked down the hall you stopped in your tracks when you saw Orion and his ex making out against the lockers. The sight was enough to make you breakdown and dropped the gifts. The noise caught Orion’s attention and turned his head towards you, he showed no sign of guilt or remorse. He slowly approached you and stopped right in front of you and looked down at you.
“H-how could you cheat one me? I thought we-“ you were cut off by Orion speak up so cold and harshly.
“Cheat? I didn’t cheat on you. We aren’t dating. Whatever happened between us was casual. I just needed someone to use to get my ex back. Let’s be honest, why would someone likeme, be with someone like you.”
He leaned down closer and got close to your face, speaking with the same tone.
“No one will ever want you or love you.”
