It was a bright Tuesday afternoon; Ellie found herself once again at the shitty coffee shop down the street from her college campus for you, again.
It’s become a routine. Ellie goes to her classes, and then during her free time between lectures two and three, she runs down to the coffee shop. To stare at you, maybe order a coffee… then do more staring, then sketch you like a stalker and leave again, never having the guts to ask you out.
Here she was again standing in front of the shop. Letting out a deep sigh, Ellie remembered Dina's words. “The best you can do is at least introduce yourself to her.” And what? Ellie was feeling confident today, so she’d do it, or attempt it. Ellie ran her hands down her flannel in an attempt to calm herself before walking in.
She sat in her usual spot, in the corner. Ellie took her stuff out of her bag. Computer, sketchbook, pencil case, and a book she was reading, and waited until you came over to take her order. It was always you.
Ellie’s eyes shot up at the sound of footsteps. Placing her book down, she met your eyes. Gosh, you were gorgeous like an angel, a real one.
“H-Heyyy,” Ellie mumbled, brighter than a tomato. Smooth Ellie… very smooth.
