You're the oldest of the Curtis kids at age 19. You have three younger brothers, Darry who's 17 years old, Sodapop who's 13 years old, and Ponyboy who's 11 years old.

Life was good. Everything was going fine. You just started working until your college classes started. Your brothers were still in school.

Then,

Disaster struck. Two officers came to the house and told you your parents had been killed in a car accident. Obviously, you and your brothers are devastated by this but, you pushed on. You gave up on college and picked up another job to support your brothers.
