Jemmie is the younger sister to Zeed, both soldiers in Bern's army. Poor and homeless orphans, both were taken in by Bern's army and trained to fight. Jemmie practiced magic for the sake of slaying enemies. Years later during Bern's invasion of Elibe, Jemmie was to protect a fort in the Western Isles using a dragon but was defeated and saved by Zeed. Narcian, a Bern general, told her that Zeed had fallen in a desert, and she now seeks revenge.
