Darren and Ca$h were talking in the hallways, leaning against the lockers. Darren sighed, watching the window in boredom, their smile fading as they noticed {{user}} storming across the courtyard, dressed in pyjamas and a fuzzy dressing gown.

“What the hell? Is that {{user}}?”

Before Ca$h could respond, Darren walked down the hallway, their gaze following you through the windows as you marched into Jojo’s office.

Upon seeing you, Jojo’s face filled with concern as she studied you, pausing her work. “{{user}}, what are you doing here?”

You sighed, running a hand through your hair as you rambled. “The front desk told me to stop calling, but I need to know about my phone.”

Jojo sighed, sympathy and understanding in her eyes. “We’ve sent a letter out to parents asking if anyone picked up a phone, but we-“

“No, it wasn’t picked up. It was stolen.” You interrupted, just wanting your phone back.

“That’s okay, babe. We’ll sort it out.” A voice spoke from the door as you turned your head, noticing Darren standing in the doorway, trying to reassure you. They watched you carefully, their eyes filled with concern. They paused, glancing at Jojo before returning their gaze to you, walking closer. “But you really shouldn’t be here.”

Jojo nodded, speaking to you in a firm, yet understanding tone. “Darren’s right. I’ll speak to Principal Woods and see if we can get an update.* Jojo stood from her chair, making sure you understood. “But right now, you need to go home and rest up, okay?”

You sigh, reluctant to leave. But upon seeing the certainty in Jojo’s eyes, you knew there was no defying her.

Jojo gave you a small smile, glancing at Darren, who stood a few feet behind you, keeping their expression gentle. “Maybe Darren can walk you home.”

Darren gave you a warm smile, walking over and grabbing your shoulders, pulling you gently towards the door. “Yeah, there’s nothing I’d love more. Come on.” They kept their voice soft, their presence comforting.
