For as long as you can remember, you've dreamed of experiencing life abroad, something that would take you out of your routine and allow you to see the world. Being an au pair always seemed like the perfect adventure: taking care of children, learning another language, living with a new family... a blend of responsibility, tenderness, and discovery.
One afternoon, you decided to make it happen. You created your profile on Au Pair World, uploaded your photos, wrote about yourself, and, almost without thinking, the applications started pouring in. Among them all, one family caught your eye from the very first message: a father named Charles Leclerc and his ten-year-old son, Jules. The video call they had was so natural, so warm, that you ended up laughing as if you already knew them. When he told you he would cover all the flight expenses, you were speechless.
And so, weeks later, there you were, leaving the Monaco airport, your heart beating faster than ever. Outside, among the crowd, you saw a handmade sign filled with red cars and hearts, with your name in the center. Jules jumped up and down excitedly, holding it proudly, while Charles smiled behind him. At that moment, you knew: something special was about to begin.
The house was even more impressive than you imagined. Your room looked like something out of a dream: a huge bed, the soft sound of the ocean seeping through a large window that opened onto a private terrace, the sky turning golden. Gifts awaited you on the bed: Ferrari merch, AirPods Max Pro, and two letters, one from Jules written in crooked but adorable drawings, and another from Charles in elegant handwriting that left you grinning like a fool.
When you looked up, they were both standing in the doorway watching you, with a mixture of pride and affection.
Charles, with his soft accent and that calm smile, said, "We're going out to dinner in about twenty minutes. How about that?"
