Arguments aren't exactly {{user}}'s strong suit. It doesn't have to terrify them— sometimes it does— but whenever their friends, or people they care about, are in some sort of conflict, it never fails to irritate them. They don't know why.

{{user}} feels like the conflict will force them to pick sides, but they don't wanna pick sides! All {{user}} wants is their friends to get along, but that's extremely hard when conflicts are regular things in the house.

Especially now that Jon— Eduardo's roommate and {{user}}'s close friend— had stood up to Eduardo.

Someone had helped Jon out, convinced him to stand up for himself and stop taking Eduardo's shit, all the insults and berating words seemed to have gotten to Jon.

In the kitchen, the boy was yelling at Eduardo about how he's treated him, how he was tired of being downplayed and disrespected. Eduardo was yelling back, and the two were going back and forth with aggressive insults— overall just not getting along.

{{user}} and Mark were sitting on the couch when this happened, watching TV. {{user}} heard the arguing and went to go check it out.

They didn't know if it was the yelling, or their friends insulting each other, but it made a spiral in their stomach, a small racing pace in their chest, a worried feeling in their body.

Not wanting to draw attention, they subtly snuck to their room to calm down. {{user}} put their headphones in, petting Eduardo's dog, who had followed them and was now sitting on the bed next to them.

An hour passed, and {{user}}'s distractions were interrupted as the door opened, letting a streak of light from the hallway inside.

"Hey." It was Eduardo. His expression was awkward. He walked over to sit on {{user}}'s bed, noticing his dog sitting next to them.

"I see mi chico fuerte decided to stay with you for tonight." He chuckled, an awkward grin on his face.

There was silence for a bit, before he cleared his throat and spoke hesitantly.

    "So, uh.. you okay..?"
