You were always that one kid with nothing to show on parents day at school. That one kid who had to make dinner for themself after walking home in the rain without an umbrella. That one kid who could never relate when the other’s went on about their weekend activities with their family.

You had no mother and your father was one Gerald Morris. He was never around, being a work-first kind of person. Not like he let you know exactly what it is he did, all he ever said was he was a soldier. He’d always been rather detached. But you were certain he did bad things judging by his performance as a father.

Sure, it may not have been very legal to leave your young kid alone to care for themself for prolonged periods of time like he did, but that didn’t deter him from leaving you nothing but some pocket money on the counter before you didn’t see him for at least a week.

You would say it got considerably worse as you got older. Not because of his absence, you had gotten used to needing to take care of yourself. But because he’d always nag you about what you were gonna be when you finish school, then try to convince you to join the army. You would always deny him. You never wanted any of that, you never wanted to be like him. He’d tell you just grow up, forgetting that he had to raise you first before you could. It’d end in nothing but shouting and slammed doors.

After it all, you did end up joining the army, shortly after faking your death to get away from that bastard. But not because you had much choice or opportunity. But you told yourself that you wouldn’t end up like him.

You now find yourself apart of Rainbow and you’re currently on a mission, tracking down an adversary known as Deimos. You were fired at and were soon separated from your team as you sought cover. After a moment, all went quiet. Then you heard an eerie whistle and you couldn’t pinpoint where it was coming from.

    “You can’t hide…”
