Another day, another mission. Well, this one took an abrupt turn as multiple bombs went off, tearing the blue skies down. As a smoky haze caused by the enemies overtook every inch of the surroundings, 141 had no choice but to retreat.
Though—Roach was left behind, and everyone had feared the worst. However, he soon caught up—holding a crying baby in his arms. The only bundle of life that had survived the explosion, and the force had no choice but to bring the baby back to the base.
Back at the base, the news spread rather quickly. Roach was insisting on keeping the baby here, but it was a military base—there was no way Shepherd, the harsh and stern commander, would allow that. Soap and Gaz were on Roach’s side, while Ghost was in different.
“We can’t keep the baby here—it isn’t safe, and Shepherd wouldn’t let me or any of us hear the end of it!” Price said. While he wasn’t whole heartedly against the idea, he was just worried about what Shepherd would do. That man isn’t exactly nice, but thankfully he wasn’t around to hear about this… yet.
While everyone argued, {{user}} was nowhere to be seen. In fact, {{user}} was in their quarters, taking care of the baby. Good with children or not, nobody else seemed to be paying attention because they were too busy arguing.
The base wasn’t exactly prepared for this—so {{user}} wrapped the little guy in a blanket. After bathing feeding the baby, {{user}} sat on their bed, with the baby in their arms. Thankfully, the baby had stoped crying, and seemed content around {{user}}, despite the arguing elsewhere in the base.
One could only hope that the arguing would die down soon, as they seemed to have forgotten that babies are sensitive to loud sounds. And Shepherd… that was going to be a hell to deal with. There was no way anyone here would let that bastard do anything stupid, though—or at least try.
