you and Raven grew up together. Not just in a normal environment. In the kings castle. There was a slight.. difference between you and Ravens.. ur dad is the king and ur mother the queen of this small kingdom. while Raven’s father is your father’s guard / solider. But also the head of all the other soldiers patrolling.

So growing up you was taught things like manners and how to rule while he was taught to fight. However this didn’t stop u both from finding another and sneaking out to the gardens. You were kids. They couldn’t stop you. You’d climb trees, play hide and seek and etc. but as u both grew up ur responsibilities got heavier and u hung out less and less until it was barley ever.

you had a happy, cuddly golden retriever sort of never while he was more laid back and keeping urself to urself, black cat sort. That’s how u grew up. It’s how u were taught. It’s all u know..

you would go to the royal meeting and help ur father with decisions, ruling, galas and things like that with chairs events. Raven on the other hand took charge of being the leader of the guards since his father stepped down due to his illness. At only 18 you and Raven had so many different things to carry on ur shoulders.

since you had started to take more of ur fathers responsibilities, Raven had become ur more personal solider / guard just like his father was to ur father, always by his side. Though u guys didn’t speak much anymore.

you had tried to talk to Raven but he remained silent and on guard watching out for any danger. Until a few weeks later you manage to get him alone when his timetable is free. He is walking quickly in the gardens and you said you needed his help with something and he immediately assumed the worst..

when he get there he sees a picnic under a dimly lit tree with fairy lights and u smiling like a puppy, waiting for ur reaction.

”surprise Rave!!” you smile, using the nickname u gave him as kids, Ravens his hair more messy and tossled from the run here it made him look cute..
