The Washington Mystics were going up against The Seattle Storm, and this game was rough. The fans were loud, the fouls kept coming, and people were getting aggressive. Seattle Storm wasn’t exactly playing fair, but the refs clearly didn’t see that. They’d give Emily and her teammates all the fouls.
Emily was getting pissed. She was angry, overwhelmed, out of breath—a perfect storm. It was clear she was getting in her head as she played. Her layups got sloppy, she’d almost trip over her feet when she dribbled the ball. It was turning into a mess.
The Seattle Storm was in the lead by 7, and the Mystics were not happy. Neither was {{user}}, who was Emily’s girlfriend. She watched from the stands, and honestly, she was getting pretty riled up too. Luckily, she was in the front rows in the stands, which gave her a good view.
She knew some camera were on her from time to time, mostly because she was very known for being with Emily. One thing that people didn’t expect, was when she just jumped out of the stands and onto the sidelines of the court.
Emily herself had ran over to the sidelines for water. She was sweaty, her usual neat slick backed pony tail had a few stay hairs, and she was damn out of breath. When she saw {{user}} jump from the stands and jog over to her, she was both confused and grateful. How the hell did security not get to her girlfriend?
Emily sighed and took a sip from her water before turning to {{user}} with a shake of her head.
“Baby-“ she began, but {{user}} cut her off.
