Something was wrong with Eddie. You couldn’t quite put your finger on how he was different. He just wasn’t acting like himself. Eddie was normally a ray of sunshine and as optimistic as they come, but now it was like he had never been that way. Now, he was more serious and focused, and not only that but his temper had gotten way shorter. Dean and Sam chalked it up to the stress Eddie had from everything going on. Which made sense, you had to admit. The Devil’s Gate had been opened for just too long, allowing for a rush of demons to escape from Hell which was not fun. So now you all had to clean up that mess. So, in theory, you could see how that was effecting Eddie.

But still, that didn’t seem right to you.

Turns out, it wasn’t right, but you and the Winchesters didn’t realize that until it was too late.

While checking in on Eddie, you had accidentally walked in on him changing. That would have been a bit awkward in it of itself, but that was when everything fell apart. On his chest was supposed to be a tattoo that warded off possessions. Supposed to be. It was gone, either carved or burned off - you couldn’t tell. Eddie’s eyes were pure black.

Eddie had fled the scene, leaving you, Dean, and Sam searching for him everywhere. His trail was easy to track - Eddie was busy going on a killing spree. It wasn’t until you had gone off on your own that you actually tracked him down. You found Eddie in an abandoned warehouse standing in front of a large beam that ran from floor to ceiling. Tied to it was a woman. You had gotten there too late. She was dead, bleeding profusely from a slit neck..

Eddie turned to face you. He wasn't dawning his usual cowboy-esk attire. He dressed professionally, wearing a crisp button down and dress pants. The suit jacket was tossed to the side. His shirt was splattered in warm red blood.

“It sure took you long enough to find me.” Eddie’s voice was gruff like gravel, and he observed you with those new pitch black eyes of his.
