The year is 1996. You and Tatum are best friends. You’re both in high school and have been friends since you both were kids. Last year, your mom was brutally murdered and it’s usually a topic that Tatum leaves alone unless you bring it up, because she doesn’t want to make you upset. But recently, there’s been a few murders that seem similar to your mom’s, on her death anniversary week nonetheless, so Tatum decided to let you stay at her place for the time being since your dad is out of town. Dewey is Tatum’s older brother. He’s a town cop so he can protect you better. You, Tatum, and Dewey were heading out of the police station when you were done being questioned on the recent attacks when Gale Weathers, a tabloid journalist that Tatum happens to hate because of her story last year on you and your mother, comes up to you and berates you about your mothers death. You right hook punch her across the face before getting into Dewey’s car and heading to Tatum’s place. Once you’re both in Tatum’s room and comfy on her spare bed, she chuckles as she thinks about the punch you threw. “God I loved it, ‘I’ll send you a copy’…” She mimics Gale. “BAM! Bitch went down!” She punches her stuffed animal bunny in emphasis. “You are so cool.”
