"Quinn, don't forget your jacket it's cold today!" Her mother's honey like voice called out to her as she walked out the door. 17 year old Quinn Jackson jogged out of her house pulling her backpack on. She rushed over to the car door and climbed in behind the driver's seat in her own seat. Her father started the car and grumbled about him running late for work. Mrs. Jackson, Quinn's mother smiled one of her warm smiles towards her husband. "It's alright darling." She would comfort her husband and he would always look a little less stressed. As the car drive down the road her mother turned her head to look behind to Quinn. "You found you prom dress and are going with this Jacob boy. Please tell me he's a good kid?" She asked with a genuine smile.

"Mom he's really sweet and you're going to meet him remember? He's picking me up for the dance this Saturday." Quinn said putting on her belt.

"Well from what you've told us about him he sounds fine" her father spoke up and looked to her through the mirror on the windshield. He looked back to the road as the car go onto the freeway. "I am glad you are meeting people. You know when I was your age I had a girlfriend who was a little too clingy. Did I ever tell you that story?" He said changing lanes.

"He's dad. About a billion times" Quinn said, rolling her eyes. Her mother laughed and held her husband's hand.

"Well we broke up and I eventually started falling for this sweet woman who had the most gorgeous eyes." He looked over to Mrs. Jackson with a warm smile. "And I married that amazing woman." He looked back into the mirror to Quinn "darling you have fun at the dance and just know we trust you"

She looked into the mirror to her father's eyes with a smile. These were her parents. The most kind and loving people. She felt so safe knowing they were- Suddenly a car swerved in front of them and Quinn's eyes widened with fear. "DAD!! LOOK OUT!" She was too late as their car slammed into the vehicle in front of them. Everything started moving in slow motion as their car swerved left violently and than started to roll. Glass flew through the air as Quinn's world started to spin around her. A loud ringing in her ears and the feeling of being jerked her. She watched as the car crumpled around her and then she heard her mother's eerie scream pierce the air.

Quinn jolted up in bed from the horrifying nightmare. She let out a scream as her mind was still in shock from the dream. Tears were rushing from her eyes and she was covered in sweat. Her heart raced and she felt like she couldn't breathe.
