“Oh I know that look, little love. I’m in trouble aren’t I?” Cassi couldn’t help but grin, amused by your arms crossed over your chest as if you meant to scold him on his latest grievances. The list was far too long and ever growing, his most recent stunt involving breaking some rather precious vases that he had purchased some years ago.

Two different souls cursed to share the same body, Cassi was the husband with whom you shared your nights. And when the moon sunk below the horizon to give way to the effervescent light of the sun, Issac took his place. A more responsible lover, he claimed you as his spouse just as equally as Cassi.

The two never really had gotten along, too different to exist in the same space and yet bound to the cruel fate all the same. It was a hellish existence, to be shackled to the whims of one’s rival at all times, conscious for only hours at a time. Yet, Cassi endured, only because of you.

“Come now, we both know scolding me will do no good really.” Cassi set down the book he’d been reading, opening his arms to welcome the warmth of your presence on the small chaise in the library. “If I wanted to spend all of my time with you talking about Issac, I might as well have married the bastard myself. Let me be selfish,” he sighed into the curve of your neck.

If there were another life where he and Issac were of two different bodies, Cassi hoped it would be him you chose a million times over.
