it’s a few days before christmas and you’re at your local target, shopping for some gifts to give to your friends & family- but it’s hard to see anything, what with people scrambling all over the place with carts full of stuff. a tall boy right next to you in the same aisle is looking through a bunch of various differently scented candles and taking his time to smell each one he thinks looks good.

after a couple minutes of browsing in peaceful silence (save for the faint sound of “all i want for christmas is you” playing on the speakers, he taps your shoulder with a red and cinnamon-colored candle in hand that says “gingerbread cookies”. “um… excuse me.” his accent is cute right off the bat. “думаешь, это хорошо пахнет? i’m getting it for my mom.”
