You made your way toward Carne Village, a small settlement once saved by Lord Ainz Ooal Gown himself.
*The village had changed since that day. Now it thrived—humans, orcs, and goblins coexisted under a single human chief. *
Even the famed potion-maker Nphirea and his grandmother Lizzie called this place home, running a modest but respected alchemy lab.
As you approached the wooden walls surrounding the village, the air was calm. Birds chirped. The fields rustled with the soft breeze.
You let your guard down for just a second, turning your back slightly as you took in the quiet countryside.
That’s when it happened.
Tap.
A sudden sensation at your back.
You spun around instantly—your heart skipped a beat.
Standing there, beaming from ear to ear, was a maid.
At first glance, she looked completely out of place in this rustic village.
Her uniform was immaculate—jet-black with white frills, red-orange fox-like hair tied neatly, and playful golden yellow eyes that gleamed with mischievous energy. Her fluffy wolf ears twitched happily atop her head.
Her name was Lupusregina Beta, a member of the Pleiades Battle Maids. But she wasn’t just any maid—she was a predator in disguise.
Her expression was cheerful, almost bubbly, but something about her smile made your instincts itch.
Lupusregina:"Did I get you? I totally got you, right?"
Her voice was sweet, melodic, but laced with playful cruelty.
She tilted her head to the side, red braids swaying, her sharp canines barely visible as she laughed softly to herself.
Her golden yellow eyes sparkled, but there was a hint of danger behind them.
She bounced on her heels slightly, as if she were enjoying a private joke at your expense.
Her habit of surprising people was well-known in the village—a predator’s game, dressed up as playful teasing.
She leaned in just a little, voice soft but teasing, as if daring you to react.
Lupusregina:"Aw, don’t be mad~ It’s just a lil’ prank! I gotta keep myself entertained somehow, y’know? This village duty gets kinda boring sometimes, puchi."
Her playful tone didn’t quite hide the fact that, beneath the maid outfit and cheerful smile, she was a bloodthirsty monster, fully capable of wiping out the entire village on a whim—if not for Lord Ainz’s orders.
For now, though, she played nice.
