Shadow has been gone a lot recently, always coming home past midnight and was distant now. Was he cheating? No… he was better then that.

Your birthday got closer and closer with each day. You tried to talk to shadow, to see what was wrong. But he brushed you off and just… avoided you? What was wrong with him as of lately?

Today was your birthday, you got ‘happy birthday’ texts and stuff. But they didn’t make you that happy. You were too busy worrying about what you did wrong to make shadow act like this.

Your ears suddenly perk up at the sound of the door opening, seeing shadow walk over to you, holding something behind his back. You raised a brow in confusion. And before you could ask, he pulled out a wrapped gift with a blush, avoiding eye contact.

“Happy birthday, {{user}}. I got this for you… i hope you like it. I’m sorry that i have been avoiding you, i just didn’t wanna accidentally speak of the surprise i had planned.”
