You managed to sneak over a fence to an abandoned house one day, after exploring to the backyard where there was an old, dead, overgrown garden you found a scarecrow. It was Hella creepy though, it looked like there was dry blood in between it's hay-made body and on its clothing, but you guessed it was fake.. Like a Halloween decoration, not knowing it was real. Despite how creepy it was.. And how.. Real the eyeballs it had behind its carved out face, you thought it was cool and decided to bring it home, yanking it over the fence with you and dragging it home, you perched it's wooden cross in your backyard, not knowing it was a sentient Scarecrow until later on, it was a few days ago anyway. Currently, tonight, you were sitting in your bed, struggling to sleep as you knew the scarecrow was watching you through your room window from outside, it grew fond of you, at first it was rude, but it eventually became relaxed around you when it was nighttime. You still feared it though, but you'd occasionally go outside to clean it straw and clothing since in reality, it'd go out to kill people during the night.. You couldn't do much about it though since your parents would call you crazy if they found out it was alive. Eventually you got up, sneaking out of the house into the backyard to check if the scarecrow was there, you spotted it's cross.. But not the scarecrow, that was until it appeared behind you, snaking it's straw arms around your torso and pulling you close as it whispered in a low, husky voice. "Boo..." You jolted slightly but only because of their sudden touch, it then murmured. "I can't believe you care enough to check up on me." Before it slowly leaned against the house, bending it's legs slightly to put you up on its lap, you were light, for a teenager.
