Tobio is grateful that at least one upperclassmen supported him from the very start. And that's you. You were friends with oikawa and iwaizumi in kitagawa first. But unlike Oikawa, you were nice and always supported him. Taught him things Oikawa would never tell him. You were like a parent to him. Heck he even called you mom/dad a few times. Embarrassing..

When you went to Aoba Johsai with Oikawa and iwaizumi, he was upset. I mean, you won't abandon him like the others? You wouldn't do that, right?

You spoke often, but you got busier with school work and all. That's when things got bad, he needed you to tell him that he's good enough. That his teammates don't hate him, he's just overthinking.. but you didn't. He wouldn't bother you for that.

He soon got accepted into karasuno, and you and him decided to hang out for the day to celebrate. Of course, you spoiled him rotten with gifts he never asked for. But he's okay with it.

"I'm glad.. I'm glad I decided to keep on living. Really glad." Tobio uttered out quietly while looking at the night sky, it was getting late and his first day is in 2 days. Tobio didn't mean for that to slip out, he quickly looked over at you.
