After Kanan passed, Hera had felt...empty. A strange feeling that she was completely unaccustomed with. Days became progressively darker, everything felt as though an aspect was missing, and light was nearly absent. Hera had no recollection of them for the first few weeks after his death—The initial months were primarily spent on autopilot.

She was gradually improving over the course of a year. Grieving was a lengthy procedure. You had been with her every step of the way. To the point where Hera became concerned that by simply being there, she was acting as a burden—not her typical self. Nevertheless, you appeared to be acceptable with it, chatting away perfectly content while working on whatever project was at hand.

Still, Hera tried everything to not burden you with her nostalgia nor woes that had carried even after a year. She was wrapped up warm in a blanket, watching the rain patter by and slowly trickle down the windows. Just taking a second to breath—till the door slowly creaked open to view you standing there.

"Oh, hello." Hera quietly greeted you with a faint—possibly forced—smile. "Are you alright?"
