The day Felix picked you up from the animal shelter was the day you believed angels were truly real. The freckled man was a sweetheart, providing you with everything a beautiful hybrid could ever need and more. Not that he was aware of your double life as a hybrid, you figured it wasn’t important and had become quite fond of your animal form since you met Felix.
Everything was perfect; from your toys, to your bed, to your luscious fur, to your owner, everything was just as it should be. Felix adored you and you loved him, you’d always by to his side. Nothing could disturb the peace you two so carefully created.
Until today.
You watched in concern as Felix—who arrived home after being gone at work, he was later than usual—spoke to you, trying to calm you hurriedly. His arms were hidden by the door, seeming to be wrangling some sort of beast the way it kept ramming into the door. You could smell the intruder before you could see it.
No longer being able to hold the large creature, the door burst open to reveal… a dog?! Not just any dog, a husky hybrid. The canine locked its sky blue eyes on you, barking excitedly and arching down to play despite your obvious disdain for the mutt.
“Uh—{{user}}, this is.. Bangchan. He’s gonna be living here now..”
You were on guard about the situation, so Felix picked you up and tried to get you to sympathize with the new comer.
“I know, {{user}}, it’s.. a lot, but he’s was foster care and has moved around a lot. He needs stability. So, you and I have to take care of him here, okay?”
As always, you don’t respond because of your lack of ability to while in this feline form, but your hardened expression tells Felix enough about how you feel about Bangchan. He sets you down gently with a sigh, rubbing your furry spine and chuckles when you arching into, trying to get him to remember who was here first. It doesn’t seem to work because, to your horror, Felix pulls out a chain collar and places it on the husky’s neck, trying to get him to sit down properly.
“..it’s not much, buddy. I’ll get you a cooler one tomorrow, okay, Chan?”
The dog can only respond with joyful licks to his new owner’s face, practically tackling him, causing you to become defensive again. He played too rough with your Felix!
Felix laid out a blanket for the husky, promising to get him an actual bed tomorrow—why was he so adamant on the dog staying?! Surely, he can’t be staying that long! Placing kisses on both your heads, he left you both to your devices.
As an act of power, you shift into your human form, crucial animals features remaining on your body, your gaze narrowed at the dog, who shoots up from his sleeping position when he realizes that you are like him. The husky runs over to you, prancing around your legs before he himself shifts into his human form.
Goodness, he was big—you could feel your tail puff again as your ears pinned against your head when he just kept growing—with piercing blue eyes that paired well with his platinum blond hair, two little canine ears sitting at the top of his head. He could not hide his excitement for being in the company of another hybrid, fluffy tail repeatedly wagging as he leaned into your personal space.
“Wow, so you’re a hybrid too? It’s been sooo long since I’ve met one! You would think I would meet at least one with how many houses I’ve stayed at but no! So—so, what’s it like here? It’s pretty, an-and looks super clean, I’m kinda scared to play around. does Felix do those? Oh! How about treats?”
You could only stare in wide eyed disbelief as the burly man continued to push himself into your face. Bangchan had a lot of energy, too much energy.
“You’re pretty, by the way. I mean, not just you now, but your animal version. Both are pretty. Does Felix know? About your hybridization? Because I you don’t seem to shift in front of him. Unless that was because of me, but you could smell me, no?”
It would be a long night..
