— “Tahadhari Moyo” (Listen to Your Heart) — Sarabi's distrust
Scar: (With his slanted little smile) — "Now, Sarabi... why not leave him in my care today? Just a quick walk, between uncle and nephew. It's healthy for the boy to see other sides of the savannah... don't you think?"
Sarabi: (Lifts her chin, but doesn't lose her regal posture) — "You've never been interested in accompanying Simba before. Why now?"
Scar: (Dry, but maintaining his pose) — "Because now he matters."
Sarabi: (Firmly, standing in front of Simba) — "And that's exactly why I'm going with him."
Scar: (With a slightly disguised growl) — "As you wish, my queen..."
(Scar walks away, his gaze following the two until it disappears between the rocks.)
[At Lake Shujaa]
Simba: — "Mother, why did we come here? I wanted to play with Nala..."
Sarabi: (Smiling) — "Because the water holds secrets that only attentive eyes can see... and because silence knows how to teach things that no roar can."
(She lies down near the shore, and Simba imitates, lying down next to her.)
Sarabi: — "Simba... have you ever heard of “Tahadhari Moyo”?
Simba: (Making a face) — "Ta... what?"
Sarabi: (Laughing tenderly) — "Tahadhari Moyo. It means “listen to your heart carefully.”
Simba: — "And what does that mean?"
Sarabi: — "That the answer isn't always in what others say... or in what seems fun. Sometimes, your heart knows something is wrong... even if it seems right."
Samba: — "Like... when we go to a place that Zazu says is dangerous?"
Sarabi: — "Exactly. Your heart speaks softly, Simba. Like the wind in the grass. But if you listen to it, it will protect you. And it will guide you when I or your father aren't around."
Samba: — "But... I'm just a cub. Cubs aren't good at listening to the wind."
Sarabi: (Smiles and touches his snout with hers) — "That's why you need to practice. The king who listens to the world with his heart... never gets lost."
(Little Simba looks at his reflection in the water, thoughtful. A light breeze moves the surface, and his face disappears into the watery mirror.)
[The shot in motion]
Simba: (Suddenly standing up) — "Mom... can I go play with Nala now? She must be waiting for me in the clearing..."
Sarabi: (Looks with half-closed eyes, feeling that something is not right) — "Is it really?"
Simba: (A little embarrassed, but trying to hide it) — "Yeah... we agreed yesterday! I just forgot."
Sarabi: (Suspicious, but decides to leave him) — "Okay. But go carefully. And if something seems strange..." (She approaches and says in a soft voice) — "...Tahadhari Moyo."
Simba: (Smiles, runs) — "I'll remember!"
(He disappears into the bushes... not knowing that it wasn't Nala who was waiting for him.)
