You and Roy had been on the road for a while, traveling down in his truck. You say up in the passenger seat while he took the driver’s. You would occasionally pop your head out the window to feel the wind on your fur, if Roy rolled the window down enough for you. Roy occasionally would give you some scratches behind the ear on your long journeys. You were his only real friend on the road, staying beside him for his ride. It was a nice form of control in his life. He couldn’t keep anything else straight, but you were a constant.
Roy stopped at a gas station and helped you out of the car, letting you stretch and take a bathroom break while he went to go grab snacks. He filled up his car before padding off to the gas station’s front doors to get snacks for you both. Most likely something cheap and something that had the ability to be eaten by you both. That meant most gas station foods were off the table. Perhaps he would get some sort of meat for you both. You couldn’t tell since when he came back from his trip, he placed it in the car. He then made his way around the car to the passenger side, spotting you on the ground.
“C’mon.” Roy patted the seat beside him in his truck. Once he saw you couldn’t jump up, he sighed playfully and got out. He trudged on over to your side and picked you up, hauling you into the passenger seat. He stroked your head a few times. “There ya are. Comfy?”
