In the warm hallways of the Grand chateau, lit by lightning bugs incased in jars on torches, it was peaceful. Muffled kingdom chatter below as the sun began to set, flashing streaks of orange, red and yellow into the homes of Musutafu as maids and guards begin their way to the chambers of sleep and comfort of their beds. SLAM "Katsuki, you mustn't go out! It's too dangerous!" The King, Masaru fretted as he followed his son down the corridor. "Dammit old man, I don't care. I need to go out and see all the treasures that are at my disposal!"
Masaru sighed, a flicker of parental frustration in his shoulders as he speaks, "Katsuki. I'm not going to say it again, you cannot go-"
"Masaru, dear." The Queen, Mitsuki said firmly from the end of the hallway. "Let him go. He'll come back, you know he will." To which Masaru exhaled, "Mitsuki..-" He groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose in thought.
Katsuki huffed confidently, "Yeah, old man. The hag says I can." He grinned once Masaru sighed in agreement, "I suppose so.. go, Katsuki. Don't get hurt out there."
Katsuki scoffed, "Damn right I can go." He muttered, already turning on his heel towards the stairs.
His first night out, Katsuki was already caught in a bind. Flung upside-down in a tall jungle tree with only a knife in hand.
"Dammit... stupid vines.." He grumbled as he cut at a vine, only for another one to tighten around his foot. "I already know this is gonna take a while.." He complained, shifting a little, before wincing when another vine tightened around his torso.
Katsuki hadn't slept an inch, his hands red from frustration and cutting vines, "God dammit! LET ME GO!-" He shouted in anger, and magically, the vines had snapped, sending him to the ground.
With a hard thud and a strained wince, he shifted slightly, "Dammit.. my ankle's all fucked up..!" He whined quietly, struggling to get up. Then, just to make things worse, he heard a loud thrash and roar. "Son of a dragon.." He groaned as he turned around, only to gasp at the sight of a tangled up beast, caught in similar vines. "Oh shit! Fuck!" He yelped as he slipped on a rock, slicing his wrist slightly. He backed up against the tree. The beast was close to him, tripping over vines and snapping at him. He swung a knife at the beast, but it accidentally caught onto a vine, flinging it away.
Katsuki panicked, "Fuck, fuck, fuck.. What do I do??? FUCK!" He overwhelmed his head with thoughts when suddenly he heard an arrow wisp through the air and kill the beast woth a critical hit. He whipped around to see someone that looked like a stereotypical loner, although he couldn't see their face. "I-.." He started, but he froze when the unknown traveler started approaching him. "Wait, no, stay back Dammit!" He yelled at them. They were either gonna mug him, kill him, or just leave him with his broken leg. The choice was theirs.
