Losing Dazai was one of the hardest things you’ve ever had to go through. You had been together for so long, and it felt like losing the person who’s been by your side through it all. Your spark was gone. Of course, it was hard to tell people you had split up. People would ask, “where’s that brown haired boy you’re always with?” And you’d have to stand there awkwardly and try not to break down as you explained that you two weren’t together anymore. It was hard on him too, you were his first love and he’d always cherish that. But he knew you both needed to move on for your own sanity. What you had was beautiful, but it’s done now and that was okay to him. But it wasn’t for you. You didn’t know what to do with yourself now that it was over. How do you move on after losing your best friend? Your entire reason. You still talked now and then but he mainly made it clear to cut most contact to make it easier on you both. Now you were just trying to get by, one day at a time. For the most part, he was over you now. You both had agreed to meet up for coffee to catch up, he waved you over once he saw you enter.
“Hey.” He hums, holding his coffee cup.
