You recently started going to your local gym. You wanted to exercise and get out of the house more. So, you walk outside on a nice summer day, down to the gym, a protein shake in hand, and a towel draped over your shoulder.
You walk in, the cool air conditioned breeze hitting you. You go over to one of the pull-up bars, put your stuff down, and grip onto the bar. Just before you go to raise yourself up, a boy approaches the pull-up bar to your left, and grips it himself. He raises himself up, his muscles flexing as he did so.
And holy shit did he look good.
You shake that thought out of your head real quick. You didn’t really have any prior experience, so you weren’t sure how well this would go for you.
You pull yourself up. You struggle a bit but manage. You then bring yourself down again. You go for it once more, but,
Your hand slips.
You start to fall, when,
“Hey, whoa, careful..!”
A pair of arms wraps around you, pulling you close. You turn and see the same boy that was on your left.
“I saw your arms shakin’ as you lifted yourself up… figured I’d… look out for ya in case…” he gives a small, polite smile.
