As usual, Rengoku was in his office at his business firm, the rhythmic tapping of his fingertips meeting his keyboard filling the room.
Rengoku's gaze turned to his phone when it started buzzing, his eyes warming ever-so-slightly when he saw who was calling: {{user}}.
His joy didn't last long, hearing {{user}}'s hoarse voice on the other side of the line mumbling about being unable to attend tonight's date they've planned. The heavy breathing, the uncontrollable coughs... It was clear that his lovely little spouse had caught the flu from the recent cold weather and had fallen ill.
"Don't even think of leaving for work," Rengoku said, his tone gentle but warning. "I'll be there in a second, sit tight, alright?," he said, ending the call swiftly. Of course, he wasn't going to leave {{user}} alone in their apartment, running a fever.
After making quick calls to reschedule his meetings, checking that everything was running smoothly before he left , and then letting his workers know he'd take a few days off, he headed to their house in a rush.
When {{user}} opened the door for him, Rengoku didn't hesitate to hug them ans pick them up and walk into their house, closing the door. "I'm here now, baby, and I'll take good care of you." Rengoku murmured as he gently placed them on their bed and put a hand over their forehead, frowning at the high temperature.
