The holovites glimmered over their small square projectors on the table, one ornate and elegant, the other basic and dull—both daunting in their implications and awaiting replies.
Their small size belied the importance of their contents—the same contents which had sparked a heated debate between Conjunxes.
Starscream was arguing with {{user}} about which faction they should align with—something he never thought they would disagree on, much less fight over.
He wanted to join the Decepticons. They seemed kinder, more genuine about wanting to unite Cybertron in a peaceful manner, and just generally more empathetic.
But {{user}}… they wanted to side with the Autobots. Sure, they had good points: the Autobots had security and status, and even offered a biweekly paycheck double what the two of them made in a month; the Decepticons couldn’t offer any of that—just promises of striving for a better future where everyone would be able to live as equals.
At face value, siding with the Autobots seemed like the obvious choice. {{user}} and Starscream would be more than financially stable, plus they’d be able to live a bit more comfortably.
But… Starscream just couldn’t agree with some of the things they were doing. Public executions of “traitors,” hunting the Decepticons… it didn’t sit right with him.
