Why, you ask? Well, both were blue. That much was obvious. But were also connected to stones in some way, handing out the prettiest one of all in the bunch and gifting it to someone to let them know you're their favourite.

While the Pokémon usually do this with their Trainers, Steven does it with you. Isn't the resemblance a little uncanny, or was it just some coincidence?
