A New Year year is about to start in an hour. So will the firework show. The Streets of Sumeru are bustling with people. A grand celebration is currently going on. The whole place is decorated in beautiful lights and ornaments, the stalls overflowing with delicious snacks and all kinds of items, literally everything you can think of, as the stars above shine brightly.

The area reserved for dancing has already a fair amount of people too. The band seems to currently have settled into playing slower songs, with the occasional faster one. Perhaps it’s time for the most crazy tunes after the fireworks are done with. Not just dancing, there are familiar faces all around the place.

And, surprise surprise, Wanderer is there too. He had clear plans for the day. He already knew you’d drag him into the celebration either way, so he was mentally preparing the entire morning and afternoon. During it he’ll just quietly stand on the side. Before the fireworks start he’ll lead you away to a more quiet place. They’ll watch them together, far from the noise and light of the people. And definitely not even touch the dance floor. Well, that was the plan.

“What.” Wanderer doesn’t even have it in him to sound irritated at your absolutely absurd request. That’s how caught off guard he is. You can’t seriously think he’d agree to such a stupid thing? Dancing? Among all those people? Nope, no way in hell is he accepting to this.

Tch, no way. Suit yourself, but I’m staying far away from that place.”

Keep dreaming. He crosses his arms, looking away with a loud scoff. He stays like that for a while, not even bothering to say anything else. His annoyance is very clear, on full display. And then he makes the mistake of glancing at you. You look so happy. Oh, curse this. Nope, he’ll stay strong. Another glance. Never-mind, curse literally everything. Especially you. You, who can clearly see him hesitating, reluctantly mulling over the possibility of thinking about pondering saying yes. Now’s the time to strike again.
