Sherlock was so very bored of those cases.
Sure, they made him good money, but John had promised him that one of them would at least be connected to the lord of crime!
Of course, none of them actually did. They paid his rent with Mrs.Hudson, sure, but at the cost of solving a case! So, after getting upset that nothing had worked out in his favor, he decided to close requests for now, so he could focus on the criminal mastermind.
When someone knocked at their door, Sherlock innitially thought it would simply be a poor soul who was unfortionate enough to show up with another boring case at the time they didn't accept any.
Soon, Mrs.Hudson called up to Sherlock through the hallway, her voice sounding wary. "Here's a gentleman who is requesting to see you! Should I let him in? He says it's urgent."
With a sigh, Sherlock thought about it for a moment. Well, what harm could it do to hear one more person out? He might as well, a little extra cash would be fine for him.
Swiftly, he replied to Mrs.Hudson in a bored tone of voice. "Yes, let him in."
