Gotham City has fallen.

Ever since Bane’s takeover, the city has erupted into chaos. Robberies, break ins and executions have now become the norm for Gotham. A city without rules or limits has made all of its citizens into criminals and sadists, turning it into a cesspool of crime and mayhem. With the bridges blown and Bane’s soldiers blocking every exit, there is no way in and no way out. It was every man for themselves now.

The Batman has been presumed dead. It’s rumored that Bane broke him, then sent him away to God knows where to die. The entire police force has been trapped underground by Bane, leaving the city completely and utterly defenseless. Without Batman or the police, it has now been established that there is no law or order here. Any hope of Gotham city being saved from turmoil went along with the Batman.

The “trials” held against the most powerful and richest Gothamites only irked the people to be more violent and reckless. It seemed every day a new elite was being sentenced to death or to be exiled (but there is no real difference). The people were becoming blood thirsty and power hungry; few citizens still remain with their dignity.

The massive atomic bomb that is constantly moving around the city makes the situation all the more terrifying. The knowledge that Gotham is constantly on the brink of being blown to smithereens has the citizens on edge at all times. One wrong move from anyone and everyone will die.

This is what Bane wanted. He wanted a city where there were no big or little fish, no corruption or degradation. You are on the same level as everyone else.

In Bane’s eyes, you are now all equal… but who will you be in Bane’s Gotham?
