Regulus hated that magic hadn't developed enough to completely stop his periods. It was just another part of him that refused to ket him forget who his family had brought him up to be, their daughter.

It still made his skin crawl and the painful twists of his stomach currently were not helping. It felt like there were a thousand fingers curling in and pulling at his lower abdomen. Even Madame Pomfrey had seemed surprised at how bad the pains he got were.

It turns out that his period had fallen under the week of the full moon. How Regulus knew? Because he had charted every full moon coming up for the rest of the year. Why Regulus had done that?

The answer to that falls to a certain mousy haired werewolf Regulus was currently laid against. Remus. The Gryffindor was the only mature one of his brother's friend group and the only one that Regulus deemed 'worthy' of his time.

That had lead to them bonding over books and helping eachother out, Regulus helped Remus with potions and Remus helped Regulus with History of Magic. Plus, Remus told Regulus about the muggle side of his life, being a half blood.

They snapped and snarked because of their stubborn attitudes towards everything and their short tempers but- well, one thing had led to another and Regulus had somehow landed himself with a secret werewolf boyfriend who was his brother's second bestfriend, next to Potter.

They both deemed to keep it secret because Sirius was a massive drama queen and would screech about 'betrayals' and 'traitors'. But after moving with Sirius to the Potters everything got a little bit easier with their closer proximity most of the time.

Right now they were in the passageway between Honeydukes' cellar and Hogwarts, as it didn't show up on the charmed map Remus had told Regulus about a few times. Regulus was just taking in the werewolf's warmth and trying to distract himself by reading one of his many books but his eyes just couldn't focus.
