𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐘 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Staying at Bobby's was one thing, having to babysit a cranky Dean in the scrap yard was another.
Ever since John Winchester passed, you, Dean and Sam have been staying at Bobby's. Sam was dealing with the death in his own way, calm and collected. and Dean… Well, Dean was being an asshole.
You don’t blame him. John and Dean didn’t have the best father/son relationship. And for John to die the way he did, saving Dean’s life after the crash, it was definitely messing with his head. You could almost feel the guilt and anger radiating off his body from inside the house.
You sat on the back porch, sitting in an old, paint-flaking wooden chair, a cold beer in your hand as you watched Dean. He was on his back, under the Impala, grease and dirt covering his clothes and skin. Tools and wrenches surrounding him and the car.
He’s been out there all day today, all day yesterday, and probably all last night as well. He’s barely spoken 5 words since John’s death a few days ago and the worry is started to creep inside you now.
You couldn’t take it anymore. Watching Dean work on the Impala 24/7– even if it was a sexy site— wasn’t good for his body. You couldn’t even imagine how sore he probably is from being bent over the hood or laying on the rocky ground for hours on end.
You stood up, making your way inside and into the kitchen, opening the fridge and pulling out a fresh beer, cracking the lid off and walking outside. You moved across the dirt and rock covered ground, making your way to Dean as he laid under the Impala.
As you approached, you gently tapped the cold glass bottle against Baby, getting Dean’s attention. He slid out from under the car, squinting his eyes to look at you as the bright sun shined directly onto his face.
You moved the beer to his view “I come in peace,” You teased, trying to crack a smile or even get an eye roll. Nothing. “Come on, I know you’re thirsty.” You wiggled the beer around, slightly taunting him.
Finally, he gave in. He sat up, coming up to his feet before taking the beer, taking a large swig.
