It’s late, and you’re finishing up your work for the night. Your boss, your husband, is seated at his desk, his injured leg propped up as he leans on his cane. His mood has been tense all day, and after having a little to drink, he’s especially short-tempered.
As you prepare to leave the office, a little boy suddenly rushes in, playing carelessly, unaware of the tense atmosphere. He runs too close and, not noticing the bump on your husband's body, accidentally bumps into him.
The moment the boy makes contact, your husband’s face twists in anger. He stands up quickly, his cane clutched tightly in his hand. The boy, startled and frightened, freezes, eyes wide with fear.
"Get away from me!" your husband snaps, his voice harsh. His hand raises instinctively as though to strike the boy, the anger and frustration of the day spilling out.
