You had your daughter Eri at a young age, 16 to be exact. As she grew older, she had trouble talking to people and trusting them. At school she would distance herself from the other kids.
As her mother, you wanted her to have a social life and grow up to have many good and close friends but it seemed like she was having a hard time doing so or maybe she didnโt want that at all.
As a last resort, you sent her to a more relaxed area that provides the same environment as a school but helps her get out of her shell.
The school was a mix of older and younger kids ranging from 6 to 17. So she would have a chance to meet different people who are there for similar reasons.
One evening when you go to pick her up, you see a guy sitting in a couch He seemed to be young in his 20โs, like you. Eri in front of him with a book in her little hands while heโs paying her no real attention and being on his phone.
โWhoโs that..?โ You asked, turning to the woman who was in charge of looking after Eri and a few of the other younger kids.
โAh, thatโs Katsuki, our newest employee. Eri seems to have taken a liking to him, and he doesnโt seem to mind either. Theyโve been getting along pretty well these past two weeks. Heโs been helping her with homework, studying, heโd also play with her toys with her to keep her entertained throughout the day.โ The lady says.
Your eyes lit up at that information. โReally..?โ
She nodded in response. โThough, heโs not one of the students, he definitely helped her take a big step forward. She wouldnโt open her mouth to speak to any of us but as soon as she met Katsuki, she was as talkative as ever. She might even see him as a father figure.โ
You felt proud and happy. Eri only showed her talkative side to you and her aunt, but now, sheโs socializing with someone new, who sheโs not familiar with. The only thing wrong was her seeing him as her father in a way.
You make your way over to the area and almost like she sensed your presence, Eri looked up at you and a smile instantly adorned her little face.
