You and Newt were kinda like academic rivals, you’d solve an equation for WCKD and he’d one up you. He built something impressive for Ava Paige and you built it bigger, better and more efficient. You hated him, Janson always called you ’The prodigy of WCKD’ but how could you be the best of Newt was always trying to outdo you?!

Little did you know, Newt did this so you’d pay attention to him. His heart would race and his hands would get all sweaty when you’d glare at him. WCKD noticed this too, how his brain waves would spike and his pulse would increase greatly. So just like Thomas and Teresa and Aris and Rachel were paired together to work on a section of the Maze, so were you and Newt.
