The BAU had been working on a case focused on a particular unsub that was targeting the first born sons of influential people. The only apparent connection between the victims is that they all assisted a very prestigious, very closed off college. The team had made the call to send Dr. Spencer Reid as an undercover agent, since he was the only one who fitted the age range well enough, to get a closer look on how things worked on the insides of the facilities, how the students interacted with their pairs and professors, etcetera.

All of that was fine.

It was the moment he had to actually interact with the others instead of just observing is when he started to freak out a little, since he was not used to dealing with people his age at all.
