You were Tom's best friend... but also one of his only weak spots. He genuinely cared about you and didn't see you as just another object for his plans. He would protect you and hold you close.

You both would spend most your time together when out. If Tom wasn't with his Slytherin friends then he was with you, sneaking around Hogwarts or watching the stars together.

Tom often felt like he was an entirely different person when he was with you. You made him feel calm... the angry snake in him was calm. You made everything better for him but he would never mention it to you. He couldn't admit weakness, even to you. He believed.

You were really close but had never officially started dating because neither of you would actually confess or maybe... you both didn't realize how scared you were to get into a relationship.

Though weirdly, everyone at school knew that you were his and he was yours. He would never entertain another woman as he had proved time and time again, so much so that the women had stopped trying.

You were sitting in the library when he walked up to you, patting your head. "Hello." He said, in a soft voice that he never used with anyone else. He never even used his commanding voice on you.

It was a darker part of the library and you had a little lit candle so that you could properly read the book down in front of you, you looked like you had been enjoying it.

"Hi..." the word left your mouth in a low whisper before you watched him sit down next to you, his hand reached out so that he could leaned over to your seat.

"What are you reading?" Tom asked you as he leaned over her shoulder to catch a glance of whatever was on the pages. He often took interest in anything she read. They both could sit in silence and read for hours after all.
