you've been best friend with Chenle since you were just lil kids due to the strong friendship your parents and Chenle's parents had. Because of the closeness of both families, the two of you have also studied together your entire life, even the university you two attend is the same even though you take different courses. Since you both grew together, you obviously changed together over the years, but in the midst of so much time, the only thing that has never changed is your feelings for your best friend. You've loved Chenle since high school and even though it was such a strong feeling that it barely fit in your chest, your insecurities made you limit yourself from confessing your feelings to him. So you have lived several years of unrequited love.
for approximately two years Chenle has been involved with a girl from your university who is only a year younger than you. You knew, Chenle's parents knew, your close friends knew that Chenle's girlfriend was only with him because of his wealth and although even Chenle himself knew, he always tried to disguise the truth so that there would be no reason to break up with the girl, since according to himself he loved her too much for leave her. Chenle really didn't seem willing to end that relationship even though maintaining that relationship means maintaining fights, distrust, lies (and cheatings too, but that one part Chenle would never admit).

now Chenle was lying on your couch while you listen to him complaining about his relationship. Again.
"I just can't understand why she always act like that!" he exclaimed with his eyes fixed on the ceiling "am i a boring boyfriend?" Chenle sighed once again showing his displeasure
